• Undergraduate Program

 The B.S. program takes about eight semesters to complete. In order to fulfill the requirements of the B.S. degree, 141 credits of regular course work, including satisfactory performance in a three credit senior project course are required. There are two minors available in the program, namely Control and Systems. Although the major subjects are identical in both minors, the elective courses are advised to be taken from two different packages, which are as following:

Minor Control: 10 credits are taken from the following elective courses:

  • PLC Lab (1 crd), Instrumentations Lab (1 crd)
  • Principles of AI systems (مبانی سیستمهای هوشمند)
  • Principles of Optimization (مبانی بهینه سازی)
  • Electronics III
  • Filters and circuits synthesis
  • Interfacing circits
  • One course from other majors, or M.Sc. courses in systems and control.

Minor Systems: 10 credits are taken from the following elective courses:

  • PLC Lab (1 crd), Instrumentations Lab (1 crd)
  • Principles of Optimization (مبانی بهینه سازی)
  • Introduction to system engineering (مقدمه ای بر مهندسی سیستم و شناخت)
  • Project control ( کنترل پروژه)
  • Management in engineering (مدیریت در مهندسی)
  • Decision making analysis (آنالیز تصمیم گیری)
  • One course from other majors, or M.Sc. courses in systems and control.

The tentative course program is available for control and systems minors.

  • Graduate Program

 The M.S. program takes about five semesters to complete. In order to fulfill the requirements of the M.S. degree, twenty four credits of graduate course work, a two credit seminar course must be taken and a six credit research thesis must be accomplished. By a program launched from 2010, two major fields of studies and research are considered in the M.Sc. degree, whose distribution of courses are as following:

The Ph.D. program consists of a comprehensive course of study both in classroom education and individual research guided under supervision of faculty members. In order to fulfill the requirements of the Ph.D. degree, each student is required to take at least twelve credits in Graduate courses beyond the M.S. program course work. At the completion of this course work, each student must fulfill the following requirements:

After completion of the course work in the major area, each student is required to pass a thesis proposal defenseafter successfully passing the required credits. At this stage, the Ph.D. candidate will be granted a dissertation status. A final thesis defense examination will be scheduled at the recommendation of the thesis advisor and approval of the graduate advising committee. a Minimum of two journal paper publication is required for the approval of the Ph.D. defense.
